Expectation on the Growth and Change in the Practice of Nursing In this paper, the expectation about the nursing practices has been covered, so the educators can teach to the nurses about their clinical and nursing career. It is quite significant to cover the past and present of any field to ensure the security and effectiveness of any field in the current competitive market. The changes and growth of nursing can be estimated on the basis of some important concepts such as concepts of continuity or continuum of care and nurse-managed health clinics (Stanfield, Hui & Cross, 2011). These kinds of concepts are helpful to ensure the quality of care, which is proved by the health care organizations. At the same time, the concept of continuity provides the information about the system of the nursing with the help of a comprehensive array of services provided in the health care sector by covering each level as well as intensity of care. It is also expected that the employment of registered nurses would increase by 22% in 2008 to 2018. This concept is helpful to identify the delivery of the healthcare services within a specific time period. With the help of this concept, the nurses can be taught by seven different kinds of services such as extended care, acute hospital care, ambulatory care, home care, outreach, wellness and housing (Haggerty, Reid, Freeman & McKendry, 2003). In addition to this, the changes in nursing can be determined through the Accountable Care Organizations, which are increasing day by day and joined with the Medicare Shared Savings Program. At present, total Accountable Care Organizations are 744, which were 64 in the year 2011 (See Image 1). These organizations are the group of physicians, health care, hospitals, and other health service providers that coordinate to provide the high quality of services (Muhlestein, 2015). Image-1 (Source: Muhlestein, 2015) Along with this, it can be said that the future of nursing is improving due to applying the medial homes, because these are helpful in personal physician care and physician conducted medical practice. The medical homes are also increasing the scope of nursing in the present due to ensuring the quality of care and safety of the patients. The medical homes help to deliver the primary care to the patients, so they can be healthy in a proper manner of some chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension and heart disease. Thus, the medical homes increasing the future of the nursing by improving the satisfaction, team based care for patients and physician leadership (Stanfield, Hui & Cross, 2011). In addition to this, nurse-managed health clinics are also good for the future of the nursing practices, because they would utilize the nurse practitioners as well as NMHCs in primary care. These clinics also reduce the risks of the patients by providing the primary care (Haggerty, Reid, Freeman & McKendry, 2003). Thus, it can be said that the nurses can be educated about the practice of nursing, so the changes and its growth can be understood appropriately. The above presentation can be presentation with the nurse colleagues, so it can be analyzed within the unit or department. References Haggerty, J. L., Reid, R. J., Freeman, G. K., & McKendry, R.
