(Professional identity)This course has been instrumental to my nursing career development by offering me the opportunity to translate my current knowledge into practice and build confidence in providing care to diverse patient populations. Going through this class has defined the type of relationship Iwould like to have with my patients and colleagues. Through building constructive therapeutic relationships with my patients, I would develop trust and respect with my patients and colleaguesand have open and honest communications. Over the last seven weeks, I have had the opportunity to build and improve my knowledge and understanding of the care process using evidence-based practices to provide patient-centered care. I have learned theoretical frameworks and applied them in my professional identity, especially the theory of human caring. Through different case studies, I have internalized caring for patients with different needs, especially treating clients with substance use disorders, which requires bringing optimal health through holistic care of the body, mind, and soul (Gürcan & Turan, 2021). Therefore, I have learned how to protect the patients’ needs and promote the advanced practice nurse role in the ever-changing nursing practice environment and human healthcare needs
