An 8-year-old Black Male with Psychiatric Complaints For this week's assignment, we have a client, Tyrel, an 8-year-old black male brought in by his mother due to possible psychiatric concerns. In the last two months, he has become irritable, has had trouble sleeping, and struggles with going to school and being around his classmates. His mother feels responsible for his behavior because she diligently reminds him to wash his hands more frequently before and after he eats, not to handle things that do not belong to him, and wash his hands after playing with other children. Tyrel has formed habits of handwashing, much like compulsions, due to his obsession or fears
