 Decision Tree: Women with Depression Diagnosing a patient with a mood disorder is a perplexing situation for a psychiatric provider since there are similarities amongst the various ailments. Nevertheless, by carefully evaluating the client's symptoms, the practitioner can attain a proper diagnosis for the individual. Mood disorders share the clinical manifestations of depression, such as bipolar 1, bipolar 2, cyclothymic disorder, major depressive disorder, and others. This assignment is to evaluate the case of a young woman suffering from a mood disorder. Also, the writer will make three decisions regarding the client's diagnosis and pharmacological treatment. Decision One The client is a thirty-two-year-old Hispanic female who came in to treat with complaints of sleep disturbances that last up to three days at a time where she can only sleep for three hours. During the sleep deprivation time, she reported an upsurge of energy, which allows her to accomplish the job-related task put off in the last couple of weeks (Laureate Education, 2017)
