 Clinical question 
The problem of the study for our group is pain management strategies in cancer patients. Cancer is a group of disorders that affects any organ or tissue where abnormal growth of cells migrates beyond their usual boundaries (World Health Organization. int, n.d). Therefore, the burden associated with Cancer exerts tremendous physical and emotional stress on an individual and their families. According to Caraceni, A., & Shkodra, M. (2019), cancer pain is classified as chronic pain primarily from Cancer or metastases or its treatment. This study focuses on using evidence-based practice to address the problem statement. Most group members use one PICOT question, Inn cancer patients, does the use of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy reduce psychological distress during treatment?" Cancer patients undergo harsh treatment and pain management to cope and recover from complications. According to the World Health Organization (2020), Cancer is a global problem and is the number one cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020 (World Health Organization, 2020). The deadliest cancer types include breast, lung, prostate, and stomach cancer. Cancer patients' focus is primarily on chronic pain with pharmacological pain management. Therefore, there are still areas to address, such as psychological pain for cancer patients. Mindfulness therapy can also identify measures to reduce pain and provide comfort. Mindfulness "focuses on dedicated attention and maintaining a present moment nonjudgmentally" (Compen and Schellekens et al., 2017). Therefore, this study explores how cancer patients can use mindfulnesstherapy to focus on their thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and outer circumstances, such as coping with Cance
