Statistical tools are important elements. In nursing research, statistical tools are used to evaluate deter, document, and present results that can be interpreted and used to support evidence-based practice (Polit, 2010). The statistical tools help nurses to apply the most current and up-to-date research results and evidence to improve patient care delivery. One of the statistical tools that can be used in analyzing nursing research data is SPSS Statistics. According to Ozgur, Li, and Kleckner (2015), SPSS was originally known as Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The tool was released for application in the year 1968 and has been applied in various social science research (McDonald, Vieira & Johnston, 2020). A major benefit of SPSS highlighted by authors such as Ozgur, Li, and Kleckner (2015) is that the tool provides the user with easy-to-use interface and is intuitive for different types of users. SPSS has menu and dialogue boxes that provide futures and tools to make it easy to perform several analyses without the need to put down command syntax. It is also easy and simple to insert and edit data in the SPSS program directly. According to McDonald, Vieira, and Johnston (2020), SPSS does look almost the same as typical spreadsheet applications that most people are familiar with such as Excel and therefore, its application can be compared to that of Excel. Personally, I have never used SPSS before and this will be my first time. My research question is composed of the questionnaire that will be assessed based on the Likert scale, is it possible to perform a Ch-Square test using SPSS to measure the questionnaire.
