One of the vital types of psychotherapy is group therapy. Group therapy involves doing psychotherapy in groups and also being in an interdisciplinary team such as having one or more therapist that assist a group of people in an integrating comprehensive treatment plan. In group therapy, every individual can find safety and comfort knowing that they find similarities in each other despite of their beliefs, culture, and color. It also creates a learning environment where they will learn different coping skills that have worked with their peers and how they are able to apply it in their individual lives. (Rutan, 2021). In this assignment, I chose the group therapy session for schizophrenia. Patient with schizophrenia often times have difficulty with concentration, memory and have problems with disorganized thoughts that lead them to have anger issues, anxiety, social isolation, self-harm, and behavioral issues. In the video, the group is consisting of two therapist and four clients with schizophrenia in which they address patient’s issues on how they cope with stress, current feelings, and how they handled their own experiences of anxieties, and fears. Cognitive behavioral therapy is one of the widely used and effective clinical interventions therapists can utilized in order to help patient make better choices and realizations of their actions. Group Therapy TechniquesTechniques that I believed was demonstrated in the video are as follows:1. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBTThe facilitators address thoughts and emotions of each client. Having them identify situations that made them feel uncomfortable, ways on how they have cope and overcomethem. 2. Breathing Techniques and Relaxation
