Informatics and Nursing-Sensitive Quality Indicators

In the dynamic healthcare system, nursing-sensitive quality indicators are most important in enhancing patient safety, care outcomes, and organizational performance. This comprehensive overview, titled NURS FPX4040 Assessment 4, delves into the pivotal role of interdisciplinary teams in data collection and reporting, the utilization of nursing-sensitive quality indicators for improved healthcare delivery, and the establishment of evidence-based practice guidelines (Rapin et al., 2022). Healthcare professionals can leverage data-driven insights to optimize patient care delivery and organizational outcomes by understanding these critical aspects.

NURS FPX4010 Assessment 2: Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification INTERVIEW & INTERDISCIPLINARY ISSUE IDENTIFICATION 3

A semi-structured interview strategy was adopted to interview a nursing colleague to understand her organization, past and current problems, her role and duties in the organization, the effectiveness of interventions, effects of issues on a different population, the role of nurse leaders, leadership strategies, and interdisciplinary collaboration at the organization (McIntosh & Morse, 2015). She works in a private profit-based acute health care facility with 75 beds and different units. The organization is adopting advanced technologies such as automated EHRs, patient monitoring systems, telemedicine, error reporting software, data analytics for nursing informatics, and other technologies to increase the quality of care.

NURS-FPX4010 Assessment 2 Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification

NURS-FPX4010 Assessment 2 Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification Interview Summary In this interview, I talked with Mrs. Andy, an advanced practice registered nurse in one of the largest hospitals in my state. Mrs. Andy agreed to have the interview through videoconferencing through Google Meet. She works as a nurse manager in the surgical inpatient unit, which has a capacity of forty inpatient beds. Mrs. Andy has been working for the past six years as a certified nurse practitioner in the same organization and was promoted two years ago to work as a nurse manager in charge of seven other nurses in the same unit. She has administrative as well as clinical roles and usually balances these roles daily.

Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification

Interview and Interdisciplinary Issue Identification Interviews and Different Disciplines for Problem Identification The enhancement of nursing care and protection of patients from harm depend heavily on quality enhancement procedures. According to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), palliative care aims to improve a patient’s quality of life while enhancing comfort. Data collection techniques include surveys, medical record reviews, data mining in institutional databases, and interviews.

Healthy People 2020 Impact paper: Oral Health Chamberlain University NR503NP Population Health, Epidemiology, and Statistical Principle

Oral health is an important part of health for all Americans. Tooth decay (cavities) is one of the most unnecessary chronic conditions of childhood in the United States. About 1 in 5 (20%) children aged 5–11 years have at least one untreated decayed tooth (CDC, 2019). Poor oral health can have a big impact on children’s quality of life, nutritional status, speech, work habits in school, self-esteem, and overall health (CDC, 2020). The percentage of children and adolescents aged 5–19 years with untreated tooth decay is two times as high for children from low-income families (25%), compared with children from higher-income households (12%) (CDC, 2020). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that nationally, more than one-in-four (over 40 million) pre-school children have experienced tooth decay (CDC, 2019) (DPH, 2020). This paper aims to explore the school age population health effects associated with oral health, provide an overview of the objective, review the epidemiologic and analysis associated with oral health, and lastly discuss the application of Healthy People 2020 goals.
