According to the study, in the early years of 2020 and 2021, a growing shortage of nurses and the challenges presented by the pandemic (Covid-19) attributed to a variety of current challenges affecting family nurse practitioners( Marfell & Kelso, 2020). The Challenges included unsustainable working long hours, psychological fatigue, and the advent of new medical technology. Various stakeholders are concerned with healthcare service delivery partners in ensuring the best outcomes among patients including the educational sectors, local authorities, and healthcare policymakers. Advanced Practicing Nurses (APNs) acquire various competencies from their training programs and practice since they are the major people required in delivering quality healthcare services (Girouard, 2009). The quality desired from APNs requires a comprehensive approach to ensure they remain competent and harness their holistic skills in upholding the healthcare systems.

Access, quality, and cost are the three most pressing issues in healthcare, all of which are significant determinants in treatment delivery. APNs must be concerned with quality, cost, and access to deliver appropriate healthcare, but before addressing these critical issues, it is necessary to examine the definitions of each of these words. The accessibility of healthcare to a population is referred to as access. The cost of the services that the patient will be required to pay is referred to as the cost. Lastly, the quality is determined by how well the service was performed and whether or not the result of the services was satisfactory. The quality, access, and cost cannot be improved since one needs to be reduced while the other increases.
